Verify Job System provides a secure and convenient way to authorize third-party verifiers (like lenders, landlords, social service agencies, and prospective employers) to verify your employment and/or salary information.

Provide a verifier with your Company Code and SSN. If salary information must be verified, provide your PIN also. For assistance in obtaining your PIN, please contact Customer Service.

EMPLOYEE AUTHORIZATION FOR VJS TO OBTAIN CONSUMER REPORTS FOR EMPLOYMENT, TENANT, INSURANCE, AND OTHER PURPOSES.

As part of our employment verification process, EMPLOYER CLIENT has engaged VJS to process requests from third parties such as landlords, insurers, prospective employers, and creditors, to provide information related to your employment status and current salary.  VJS will obtain this information from your employer and report it to the third party user.  VJS can be contacted by mail at 5917 Oleander Drive S-200 Wilmington, NC 28403, by phone at 800-800-4VJS ( 4857 ), or by e-mail/web at www.vjsus.com. WHERE EMPLOYEES CAN CONTACT VJS FOR CORRECTING AN INCORRECT REPORT.

The information obtained by VJS and transmitted to third party users may be considered a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA").  The FCRA defines “consumer report” as a written, oral or other communication of any information by a consumer reporting agency bearing on your credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living which is used or expected to be used or collected in whole or in part for the purpose of serving as a factor in making an employment-related decision about you.  Such information may include, for example, credit information, criminal history reports, or driving records. 

Under the FCRA, before we obtain a consumer report or investigative consumer report about you, we must have your written authorization.  Before a user takes adverse action on the basis, in whole or in part, of information in that report, that user is required to provide you with a copy of that report, the name, address, and telephone number of the consumer reporting agency, and a summary of your rights under the FCRA.
